The Department for Education released their updated Reading Framework this week, with guidance extending beyond Reception and Year 1 into Year 2, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. I've put together a very brief summary of the updates which I hope is useful for leaders and teachers. The actual DfE Reading Framework document is a must-read but I hope the summary is a helpful aide-memoire which captures the main ideas.
